Mobility & Movement
Mobility is more than flexibility. It is active control over a joint’s available range — the strength to own a position, not just reach it. Train it properly and everything else gets better: you squat deeper, press overhead without compensating, and stay out of the nagging tightness that quietly limits your training and your day.
This is a defining part of how Jasper coaches. Backed by Functional Range Conditioning, mobility is trained as a skill — specific, loaded, and progressive — and woven into your strength work rather than treated as a separate stretching session. The result is range you can actually use, under load, where it matters.
How it's trained
What's involved
- An honest assessment of where your range and control are restricted
- Functional Range Conditioning principles to build controlled, usable range
- Mobility trained under load and integrated with your strength work, not bolted on
- Targeted work for the joints that limit your lifts and your day-to-day
- Progress tracked as control and range, reviewed over weeks

Common
questions
What is the difference between mobility and flexibility?
Flexibility is how far a joint can be moved passively; mobility is how much of that range you can actively control under your own strength. A flexible joint you cannot control is not much use in training. Jasper focuses on building usable, controllable range, which is far more durable and protective.
I feel stiff and tight — can you help?
Very often, yes. Stiffness usually reflects a lack of controlled range rather than a lack of stretching. Training that range as a skill, under load, tends to address it far more effectively than passive stretching alone. It starts with an assessment to see where your control is actually limited.
Will mobility work slow down my strength training?
No — they work together. Better mobility lets you train the big lifts through fuller, safer range, which usually improves your strength rather than competing with it. Jasper integrates mobility into the programme rather than treating it as a separate session, so it adds to your training instead of eating into it.
